In 2024 and 2025, I successfully raised a combined $25,000 - enough to fully fund two wells and partially fund another. And at the end of each year, the realization of reaching my $10,000 goal has been surreal and truly overwhelming. I am humbled that God would give me enough love, enough compassion, and enough courage to say yes to such a big undertaking these past two years. And I am so grateful that He put other caring individuals in my life to help me and allow me to have success beyond what I felt capable of.

While the successful completion of these campaigns has given me so much joy and satisfaction in helping others, the reality of the global water crisis is a harsh one... because even though two communities now have access to clean water, another one is waiting. Waiting for someone to care enough to say yes again, waiting for the day when they no longer have to walk for miles carrying heavy jugs of dirty water, waiting for the day when they and their loved ones finally know what it’s like to feel healthy.

You and I are so blessed to live a privileged life in the USA – we have ready access to clean water, health in our bodies, the freedom to pursue education and so much more. And the weight of these blessings and seeing what God has done over the past two years is what motivates me to say “yes” again in 2026.

P.S. The photo below is me filling my jerry can on day 9 of my month-long "Walk for Water" in August 2024. Each day of that month, I walked to the nearest river, filled up my can with water (up to 45 lbs) and walked 4 miles... the average distance women and girls walk every single day to fetch dirty water for their family to drink because they don't have access to a well.
