I was reminded yesterday of a tattoo of a bike I have on the back of my arm. I originally got it so it could be a conversation starter about this big crazy thing I did with some friends one summer called @rideforwater where we rode our bikes from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean and raised over $100,000 for clean water projects through @charitywater .
I must admit that I have not had a ton of those conversations, though, and have lost sight of this time that felt so long ago. Additionally I don't feel the same passion or drive I once did.
But today is World Water Day and I want to change that for me, for you, and for people we don't even know. Maybe you are like me and have been feeling a lack of passion, drive, or just know something is missing in your life. Maybe it's spring fever or maybe it's still pandemic hangover. Either way, I say we do something crazy today...
I have setup a campaign through charity:water to raise $1000 today and I am asking for you all to get on the bus to help me blow this goal out of the water. Like, I am hoping I have to reset this goal a couple times because we blow past it!
Give whatever you want today but I challenge you to get yourself on board. Then get your friends and family on board and let's do something awesome this Tuesday. I will also match every donation until I cap out at $100.
