For Hamadou and everyone in the Sahel region, I dedicate my campaign to YOU!

On September 24th, I turn 16 years old. Instead of the lavish and huge Sweet Sixteen party my parents were planning on throwing me, I challenged them to match every donation towards my 16th birthday campaign. This will be my 5th year fundraising for charity: water. After reading the story of a boy named Hamadou, I'm committed now more than ever to change his world and the people living in the Sahel region.

I'm asking for donations of $16 from those who want to support my birthday campaign. Or better yet, you might be inspired to give up your birthday and/or holiday and start a campaign too! Every penny of the money raised will directly fund clean water projects in developing countries. Even better, charity: water will show us exactly which projects we funded once they've been fully completed (which takes about 18 months). This means that we will know the locations and names of the communities we helped.
