Day one of clean water. You don't remember it. You never had to wait for it. 696 million still are.
Day one of clean water. You don't remember it. You never had to wait for it. 696 million still are.

Our day one was Uganda

Twenty years ago, one new well became proof that clean water changes everything.

Give clean water where our day one began

Our work began in Uganda in 2006. Twenty years later, millions across the globe have access to clean and safe drinking water, because of you.

Uganda: 10 thousand completed projects; 2.1 million people served

From day one to year twenty

One decision two decades ago changed everything. Today, that decision is yours.

What started at a nightclub...

Our story began with 700 people in a nightclub. On Scott Harrison's 31st birthday, guests dropped $20 into a box, having no idea what would happen next. When the party was over, $15,000 funded the first new well in Uganda. That night became our Day One, and the beginning of a movement.

Became twenty years of proof that clean water changes everything

One new well in Uganda became our proving ground. We tested the 100% Model there and proved clean water lasts. That original spark has since provided 21 million people across 29 countries with their Day One of clean water, and we’re only getting started. But 696 million people still haven’t experienced their Day One of clean water. That’s where you come in.
